Fellowship West Student Camp FAQ's
**Special Note** We are now WAITLIST only.
1. What is the name and date of the camp?
We go to Student Life Camp in Estes Park, Colorado. Camp dates are June 22nd-26th.
2. Where is camp located?
Camp is located at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park Colorado. The address is 2515 Tunnel Road, Estes Park, CO 80517.
3. Who can attend camp?
Students who have completed 6th-12th grade may attend camp!
4. What is the cost of camp?
Camp costs $500 total.
To lock in your studentâs spot (and the price), we just need a $125 deposit. The deposit goes toward your total cost and officially reserves your studentâs place at camp.
5. Are scholarships available for camp?
Yes! We never want finances to be the reason a student canât come to camp. Scholarship opportunities are available to help with the cost. You can apply through our scholarship form or reach out to Pastor Matt Knightâweâre happy to help walk you through the process. You can apply for a scholarship by clicking here.
6. Are there any additional fees?
There are no required additional fees â everything your student needs for camp is already included in the total cost!
However, if your student wants to take part in some optional activities, there are a few fun add-ons available:
- Rock Climbing â $15
- Aerial Challenge Course â $50
- Horseback Riding â $80
7. Where will students sleep and what are the housing arrangements?
Rooms typically include bunk beds plus queenâsize bed(s) or pull-out sleeper. Bed linens are provided, but students should bring their own towels.
Please know that my goal is to ensure that friends room with friends and/or similar grade levels. The goal is to make every student feel comfortable!
Girls will sleep in girl specific dorms, and boys will sleep in boy specific dorms.
8. How about meals?
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included in the cost of camp. It is a buffet style dining hall, with water and soda to drink. Additionally, there is a gift shop for students to purchase any additional snacks.
9. How much money should I send with my student to camp?
We recommend sending $50â$100 with your student for the week. Theyâll need money for:
- Lunch on the way to camp
- Lunch and dinner on the way home
Thereâs also a camp gift shop where students can buy snacks, drinks, and souvenirs â so a little extra spending money goes a long way!
10. How does medication check-in work?
All prescribed medications must be clearly labeled and placed in a pill organizer box. Please include a completed medication form (and an over-the-counter form if needed). Pill organizers can easily be found at Walmart or most pharmacies.
Prescribed medications should be turned in Monday morning before departure so our leaders can safely store and administer them as needed.
If your student takes over-the-counter medication that you trust them to manage responsibly, it does not need to be checked in.
If thereâs any medication youâd like us to be aware of, just let us know â weâre happy to help keep your student safe and cared for!
11. How do students get to camp?
We have enough spots to potentially take two 56-passenger charter buses to camp. On the way to camp, weâll stop for lunch along the route. On the way home, weâll stop for both lunch and dinner before returning.
12. Does my student have to ride the bus?
Yes â all students are required to ride the bus, but we understand that special circumstances sometimes come up.
If you need to personally drive your student to camp, please let Pastor Matt Knight know in advance. Keep in mind that if you drive them to camp, youâll also need to pick them up from camp at the end of the week.
Because our bus has limited seating, we canât guarantee that a spot will be available for them to ride the bus home.
13. When do students leave for camp?
Weâll head out early Monday morning from our Bonner Springs Campus. Please arrive on time â the bus will leave right at 5!
- Check-in begins: 4:30 AM
- Departure: 5:00 AM sharp
14. When do students return from camp?
Weâll return to the Bonner Springs Campus on Friday night, arriving around 11:00 PM. Weâll keep parents updated throughout the return trip so youâll know exactly when to pick up your student once weâre close to home.
15. Can my student bring their phone?
Noâand we mean that in the best way! Students will be unplugged for the week so they can fully focus on faith, friendships, and fun. Phones often create distractions and can sometimes cause unnecessary issues.
If you need to reach your student, you can contact any camp leader directly. We will also provide updates throughout the week, and youâll have access to each leaderâs phone number. If your student or you need to get in touch, weâll gladly help connect you.
